MEET OUR 2026-2027 STAFF

Owner, Manager, Teacher, Accountant…
Our 2026-2027 season will be my eighth year as owner and instructor of Hart in Motion LLC!
I live in New Enterprise with my husband Zach and our two children, Weston and Eliana. I work full time as a Sales Customer Coordinator at PennStress, assist my husband with his Hart’s Lawn Care business and enjoy attending both my kids activities they are involved in.
My dance experience started when I was five years old. I attended classes learning tap, ballet and jazz for nine years. My favorite of the three is tap! All through school, I was a cheerleader where I enjoyed performing and choreographing dances as well as in our senior musical Footloose. After school, I joined the Xelle staff first as an assistant teaching dance for two years and then becoming the lead dance instructor for three years. I departed from Xelle to pursue and own my personal photography business, which I have done since 2012.
I have big dreams for this group and can’t wait to see where it goes!
MEET OUR DANCE INSTRUCTORS

Dance Instructor
My name is Shaylie, and this will be my fourth year with Hart in Motion! I live in Loysburg with my husband and our five daughters. I am a Northern Bedford Alumni, and currently in Nursing School. I have been dancing since I was 5 years old at Becky’s School of Dance, where I also competed for three years. I enjoy jazz the most due to my upbeat personality, but all styles are beautiful in their own ways. I have danced all styles from ballet, to musical theater, to hip hop. Dance is a passion that will never leave me since it was my life for so many years. I am excited to be starting this journey, this year is going to be fun!

Dance Instructor
I currently reside in East Freedom with my husband Larry, daughter Brinley, and son Brody. I’m currently a stay at home mom. I started dancing when I was 8 years old and fell in love. I danced all through school and was also a member of the Central High School competition cheer team. During college, I was a member of the IUP Drill Team, who performed at basketball games as well as other campus events. I was an instructor at Becky’s School of Dance for over 20 years until they recently closed their doors. I have taught ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, and hip hop at both the recreational and competitive levels. I’m looking forward to sharing my love of dance with you all.
MEET OUR ACRO/TUMBLING INSTRUCTOR

Acro/Tumbling Instructor
My name is Alyssa, this will be my third year with Hart in Motion. I started gymnastics with mommy and me classes and continued to compete up until level 7. I competed throughout Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania with East west stars out of Cumberland. I was the level 4 second All Around place winner in the state of MD. After my gymnastics days came to an end I went on to be an Everett Cheerleader grade 7 up until I graduated in 2022. I did football, basketball, wrestling and competitive cheer, I was a flyer and a tumbler for the squad. I am currently a Medical Assistant at Magee Women’s Bedford Obgyn office. I am so excited to share my passion for tumbling with the students. I hope they can learn and prefect many new skills this season.

My name is Kari and this is my eighth year with Hart in Motion. I live in NB school district with my husband and five children. My daughter Bella has been dancing for 11 years. One of my favorite parts of being involved with Hart in Motion is seeing the students come in with big smiling faces each and every week.

My name is Isabella (Bella).
I am a sophomore at Northern Bedford. This will be my 11th year as a student and my 3rd year as an assistant with Hart in Motion. I have been dancing for the last 11 years. I enjoy learning and helping out at Hart in Motion!
